Q: What has self-acceptance looked like for you?
A: “One of the things I’ve learned to love about myself over the years has been my curly hair. When I was little, I used to straighten it all the time — just to fit in. But at some point, I thought, if I have curly hair, then I have curly hair. And now, I love it. I feel super lucky.”There’s something powerful about that — when you stop trying to fix what was never broken.
Q: If you could choose one song that truly feels like you — what would it be?A: “My favorite song — my all-time favorite — I actually discovered it about three years ago. It’s called Extranjero. I think that’s how you say it.”Music has a way of bringing us back to ourselves — helping us feel confident, grounded, and at home in our own body.
