The LONDI Story: From an Idea to a Manifesto of Femininity

There's a moment in the morning when you're not fully awake yet, but you're already reaching for something to put on. Something soft. Something that doesn't squeeze, doesn't correct, doesn't remind you that your body is supposed to look a certain way. Something you can just exist in.

The LONDI brand story started with that feeling - a desire for lingerie that breathes with your body instead of asking it to adjust. Lingerie you don't want to take off the second you get home. The kind that feels just as good on your couch as it does out in the sun. Tenderness in motion — and that's where it all began.

How It All Started: The First Step and the Philosophy Behind the Brand

In 2022, Yulkka Vozniak asked herself a question that maybe every one of us has asked at some point: why do we have to choose every morning - either comfortable or beautiful?

Why has lingerie lived between two poles for so long - the kind you can wear all day but would rather hide, and the kind that looks great but starts pressing within the hour?

"I wanted to create lingerie that makes people feel good in their bodies — comfortable, but also a little special in everyday life," says Yulkka.

Before creating the first sketches, she talked to women from different parts of the world to understand what was actually missing from their underwear drawers. The answer was painfully familiar: "either it breathes but looks like something you'd hide under a sweater, or it's beautiful but you're counting the minutes until you can finally take it off in the evening."

That's how LONDI, a Ukrainian clothing brand, was born - from the decision to stop choosing. The first design transformed familiar shapes: basic shorts and classic briefs got new cut lines, signature waves, soft slits, and textured seams.

Why We Chose to Create This

The LONDI brand philosophy grew out of something personal. Yulkka knows what it's like when people comment on your body. When someone decides for you what should be different. When you get used to sucking in, hiding, staying quiet. It's that moment when you look at a photo and the first thing you do is zoom in, searching for what's wrong. Or when you walk into a fitting room and the mirror suddenly feels like the enemy. Or when you pick clothes not by what you love, but by what they hide.

LONDI showed up to remind women: you're fine. You're enough. Right now, in the body that breathes, moves, has its own shapes, textures, and stories. This body carries you through every single day — and it deserves things made with respect for it.

"We admire nature without questioning its beauty. So why don't we admire the body, which is part of it? LONDI exists to remind us of a beauty that needs no proof," says Yulkka.

Stretch marks like waves. Freckles like constellations. Skin tones like soil, bark, or warm sand. The body is part of nature. And that's exactly what inspires LONDI.

The LONDI Team: The People Behind Every Seam

The LONDI brand team is a community held together by one belief: every body is a work of genius.

People who choose fabrics by touch, not by price tag. Who rework a pattern until it sits on the body as if it was made just for it — because it was. People who care about how a piece moves - when you're walking out for coffee, doing yoga, or just watching series in bed all day.

It's not a big office with hundreds of people. It's a small group that knows each other, trusts each other, and understands who they're making things for. Every seam passes through hands that feel responsible. And that's why LONDI pieces carry a quality you notice right away — before you even look at the label.

Our Principles: Honesty, Aesthetics, and Character

LONDI's values show up in the small things. In the fact that we shoot campaigns without retouching skin — because skin has the right to look like skin. In the way our collection colors are born from a natural palette — milky white, warm ivory, shades of earth and sand. In how the cut follows the body instead of trying to reshape it.

The LONDI aesthetic is that same calm you feel when morning light falls on an unmade bed and you're standing by the window in something soft, with nowhere to rush.

And character — that's confidence. The kind that doesn't need outside validation. LONDI creates things for women who already know who they are. Or who are just starting to feel it.

Production as Craft: Where and How Things Are Born

LONDI's clothing production is based in Ukraine. We follow ISO ethical standards that ensure safe and responsible working methods.

Some fabrics get a second life through upcycling — leftover materials are turned into new fully realized pieces. Around seventy percent of LONDI products are made to order.

That means less overstock, less overproduction, less sitting on a shelf waiting.

From Choosing the Fabric to the Right Fit

LONDI's quality starts with the fabric. Every material is natural, certified, and soft enough that you want to run your hand over it one more time. Fabric that breathes, moves with the body, doesn't cling, and doesn't remind you it's there throughout the day. That's what the right lingerie feels like — when you forget you're wearing it.

LONDI offers sizes from XS to 2XL and adapts every design for different body types.

Signature waves, soft slits, textured seams - that's the language LONDI, a Ukrainian lingerie brand, speaks to the body. A language with no word for "fix" — only "embrace."

LONDI Today: Where We Are and Where We're Heading

  • Since 2022, the LONDI brand story has kept growing.
  • Collections that turn lingerie into a visible part of everyday style - the kind you don't need to hide under your clothes.
  • The "LONDI is Her" series — stories of real women, their bodies, and moments of self-acceptance.
  • Art collaborations where painting moves from canvas to fabric.
  • A community that grows because people respond to what we create. We don't know what LONDI will look like in five years. But we know the feeling it will carry - calm in a body that no longer needs "fixing," and a quiet confidence that isn't about proving anything to anyone.

There's a feeling that will stay important to us — that calm in your body when nothing presses and nothing needs explaining. And a confidence that's not about proving something to someone, but about feeling good being yourself. Actually yourself.

For us, that naturally flows into how we make things. We're gradually moving toward more intentional decisions — as a normal part of growing up. Looking more carefully at what we produce and why. Fewer random things, fewer "one more version," more thoughtfulness about what already exists.

Sustainability here isn't a separate topic - it's a consequence of that approach. Things that don't end after one season. That don't disappear into the back of a closet, that don't become "the wrong ones" just because a collection's mood shifted. It's more about a longer life for a piece alongside the person who wears it.

If you gather all of this into one simple feeling — LONDI in five years won't necessarily be "different." It will probably just be closer to the people it exists for women.

Social Responsibility and Brand Growth

We're gradually learning to work with what we already have: using leftover fabrics, not launching unnecessary runs, not creating things "just in case." It's a slower process, but it's more honest — for us, and for what we leave behind.

Size inclusivity - XS to 2XL - is part of this approach too. Because a body shouldn't have to be "fitted" into a standard. LONDI adapts design to the body, not the other way around.

Every shape deserves a piece that doesn't try to squeeze it into something else, but simply accounts for it as it is.

Brand growth for us isn't only about new collections. It's more attention to the small things that usually go unnoticed: how fabric behaves after the tenth wash, whether a piece stays just as comfortable to wear, whether you still want to reach for it - not replace it.

And also — more space for bodies that rarely see themselves in lingerie campaigns. Not as an "exception," but as a normality that's simply been invisible for too long.

Instead of an Epilogue: Why We Do This

It didn't start with the idea of "building a brand." It started with a feeling - when you put something on and suddenly stop thinking about yourself. Not about how you look. Not about whether it's "good enough." You just stop checking yourself in the mirror every five minutes. And you realize how rare that is.

We make LONDI because we care that people have more of those moments - when the body

stops being a subject of doubt and just lives the day alongside you. Without the inner commentary.

We do this because lingerie is the very first thing that touches your body. And it's strange that so often it's either about discomfort or about "enduring it for the sake of how it looks."

We do this because we don't want clothes to live short lives. We don't want things to be bought and quickly become "not the right ones." We want the opposite — for them to become familiar. The ones your hand reaches for on its own. The ones that stay longer than a season.

And maybe the most important thing - we do this because we believe the body doesn't need to be "fixed" or "adjusted." It already is. And it's enough. Things can either support that feeling or constantly interrupt it. We chose the first.

LONDI exists not to add another version of how "a woman should look." But to ease the pressure around that question a little. And to leave more room for simply being yourself.
